I tell my patients, this is what I want you to look like. Working in the yard, sweating!
Put your phone down and walk outside. Nature will clear your head and help you to focus on what is truly important to you.

Time-Restricted Eating: Having recently attended an aging and longevity conference, my biggest takeaway was the impact of time-restricted eating on the health and longevity of many species, up to and including primates (like us). Shorter intervals of eating with equivatlent food/calorie intake resulted in healthier animals (hair, muscle, active behavior and sexual activity) as well as greater longevity. So, you will be seeing more from me on this.
Nutritional Ketosis: I have been recommending the Mediterranean Hunter-Gatherer diet for nearly 30 years but now the science behind the benefits of nutritional ketosis are being identified. Read the document included below at the bottom of the Homepage entitled Beta hydroxybutyrate and Aging. And not to worry, you will be seeing more on this as well. I hope to include more explicit instructions as well as updated recipes and meal plans and schedules. It is not that hard, tasty, and satisfying. The Staying Healthy book has a complete 21 day plan with all of the recipes. The PDF of the book is available to download for free.
This Section of frequently asked questions will be coming soon. Also, we are working on an AI assisted audio version of the written material included on this website for listening while exercising in Zone 2 or traveling, etc.

Even the mighty redwoods will eventually fall. But how do we stay healthy and active until the end? That is our goal here. Preventing or healing diabetes can lead to the slowing and even reversal of aging and thereby promote improved wellness and longevity.
At the dawn of our lives we all have incredible potential for growth and wellness. That potential is still present within us and can be turned on to slow or even reverse aging.
Health and longevity are what we will be discussing on this website. The lifestyle changes we need to make to slow and reverse aging are doable but need to be started sooner rather than later. But it is never too late to start, according to the research. So let's do it.
I wrote this book 20 years ago but I had read the works of many smart people and most of the information is still accurate. I have written an update that is available here.
You have two options. The PDF of the book is available free by clicking here. Or if you want the paper version is it available at www.lulu.com. The price is $19.09 per book plus shipping. I earn less than one dollar per book (to help support the website) because I wrote it primarily to help my patients. I hope you find it helpful.
The downloads included below are the latest updates on aging and longevity. These include overviews on aging, what causes heart disease and how to do time restricted eating (The Warrior Diet). The beta hydroxybutyrate document discusses the science behind the benefits seen with nutritional ketosis, a favorite topic of mine. A bit of lithium may be as important as our intake of zinc and copper.
